Our Story
We are Tsuga, a team of riders, climbers, makers, and creative thinkers who share an obsession with the outdoors and a passion for high-quality craftsmanship.
Our experiences outside the shop inspire us to design and build products that make simplify everyday life and enhance outdoor experiences. From our mountain bike packs to our utility bucket bags, everything we produce is carefully crafted to deliver innovative solutions and surpass expectations, now and for years to come.
How it Started
Founded in 2008 by outdoor enthusiast and industry vet Jimi Combs, Tsuga was born out of a desire to build gear that fused bomber durability with unique functionality.
We began building high-end canopy systems, designed to "make time spent outdoors even more enjoyable and trouble-free." As we started to grow, so did our product line. We started making some utility bags. Then some totes. Then some custom gear for companies throughout our community in Western North Carolina.
Within a few years, our small canopy company grew into a multi-faceted brand, including our outdoor gear shop and our custom design house.
How it's going
Tsuga is more united, inspired, creative, and driven than ever before. We never anticipated being where we are now and are incredibly grateful for all of the people and communities that have played a role in helping us get to this point. We have a feeling it's just the beginning, and hope you'll stick around for the ride.
